Ilorin and.........

Created by edithuban 11 years ago
I can still hear your voice saying “ma bunu jare ore mi” and you calling me Edithola… a name that stuck from Ilorin. I still remember your laughter and your encouraging words. I remember you being a friend to Tayo and encouraging him though you needed encouragement yourself. I remember your gentle words bringing me down to size and reminding me of my roots, where we started. Today, I am in a better place because you chose to fight for me. I still remember you asking me how much longer and reminding me in the same breath that the Lord is my strength. I remember bringing Bolutife to your house as a baby and you bathing her in the tub with Anike, loving on her as only a mother would. As I mourn the loss of my friend and sister, I am reminded that as Christians we do not mourn like those who have no hope; so, I choose to celebrate your life. I choose to celebrate knowing and loving you as a friend and a sister. Simi ninu Oluwa ore mi. You will be greatly missed. Edithiola
