Lit by Kike Bejide 11th June 2013
Dear Adebank1, “Genuine” Already a year… but it seems like yesterday, still very fresh in my mind. My Sister Banky, I remembered when we you were pregnant with Simi and I was expecting too. You showered me with so much love, advice and how to pray and train up our children in God’s way. On numerous occasions you fixed my children hair, you thought me ways to take care of my children even though it was your first time too, You thought my daughter, Kiki how to read, you were so sweet, always giving never expecting anything back in return. You cooked for me and my husband on countless times, very motherly, energetic and loving with a sincere heart. Your delight was in the Lord! “Like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever she does prospers”. I remembered your sweet voice with all the songs you sang, poem you composed and so many times you touched my heart with the wells of God’s word that sprang up naturally from your heart. You thought the Sunday school children prayerfully and with the fear of God. Patience is your middle name. When I was ill you brought me food, you called me to sing for me and encouraged me with a bible verse for the day, I cannot forget! You did all this to God’s glory. You always go out of your way to help even when it was not convenient. We love you but God loves you the most. A rare gem you are, indeed.
